About College Hub
College Hub started with a simple observation: Indian students already trade among themselves constantly, but the tools they use — WhatsApp groups, OLX, Facebook Marketplace — were not built for them.
The result is a mess of fraud risks, discovery failures, and missed value. A first-year student in Chennai buys new textbooks for ₹3,000. A second-year student two hostels over has those exact books and would sell them for ₹800. They never find each other.
We built College Hub to fix that. A hyperlocal, identity-verified marketplace where every buyer and every seller is a confirmed student at the same campus. No strangers. No shipping drama. Pickup in the canteen.
Why campus-only?
General classifieds have volume but no trust. Student-only platforms have had the trust angle right but stayed narrow (just books, just one city). We cover the full range of campus essentials — textbooks, electronics, furniture, clothing, sports gear — while keeping the trust layer intact.
Verification is the product. The subscription fee is the proof of commitment.
Launching in Chennai
We're starting across Chennai's densest college cluster: IIT Madras, Anna University, SRM, VIT Chennai, Loyola, and SASTRA. The plan is to hit critical mass at five campuses before expanding.
If your college isn't on the list, join the early access list and we'll prioritise your campus based on demand.
